Cignal Presents at DHS Transportation Security Laboratory Industry Day

REEDSVILLE, PA, February 19, 2026 - Cignal presented at the DHS Transportation Security Laboratory (TSL) Industry Day event, delivering a presentation entitled "The Long Tail is Where Models Fail Because Data is Stale." Cignal's presentation outlined how multi-modal Industrial GenAI can be used to enhance the detection of contraband, explosives, and prohibited items at the checkpoint. The TSL is a Department of Homeland Security Federal Laboratory located at the William J. Hughes Technical Center, Atlantic City International Airport, New Jersey, and is a part of the Science and Technology Directorate. The core mission is to enhance homeland security by performing research, development and validation of solutions to detect and mitigate the threat of improvised explosive devices.
